GadgetGurl is open by Appointment Only. So we can provide you with the most personable service. We are located in Emeryville, but will travel to your home or office.

In-Home / Office OnSite Service:
$45 first hour – first visit (new clients)
$60 regular hourly rate thereafter
$0.51/ mile door to door (one direction). Bridge tolls and parking may also be assessed
Drop-Off Service:
Laptop / Desktop Repair $95 Flat rate + Parts
$40 Diagnostics fee (waived if repaired) *Does not apply to on-site service*
Local pickup available ($15 each way)
Hardware Installation, Repair, and Maintenance Services
* We will provide advice and assistance with new computer and peripheral purchases.
* Upgrade your computer with more hard drive space, additional RAM, a CD/DVD drive or burner, new motherboard, CPU, or other peripheral.
* Virus & Spyware Removal
* Perform any necessary preventative and periodic maintenance on your system.
* Recover lost data. Note that certain data may not be able to be recovered.
* Help to protect your computer or network from accidental or unwanted system changes.
* Networking & Wireless setup, includes DSL setup
* We will move your computer to/from any part of your house or office and reconnect.
* Data recovery on Hard drives, SD, or Compact Flash cards
* New software installation or upgrade

Tune-Up, Virus Removal Special (In-Home Only) – $95
Includes all of the following:
* Virus scan and removal
* Spyware & adware scan & removal
* Disk cleanup and maintenance (disk cleanup, defrag, scandisk)
* All Windows updates
* Update your antivirus
* Delete all temp files
* Clean interior & exterior
* Uninstall unnecessary software
* Remove unnecessary programs from startup
* Clean up Internet Explorer ( cookies, temp files, history, settings to default)
Install or Upgrade Operating System – $165
This is often the best (and cheapest) way to remove viruses and spyware. This price includes the installation and configuration of anti-virus and anti-spyware software (though not the licenses). It does not include the installation of any additional software, backing up of large amounts of data, or data recovery. This price is for onsite installations only.
Local Area Network Setup (In-Home Only) – $120
Includes all of the following:
* 2 Computers – Wired or Wireless
* Each Additional Computer $25
This price does not include a router, wireless card, or any additional equipment that may be necessary. You can provide this equipment yourself or we can provide it for a 10% markup on cost. This will usually come to about $70 – $200 for a basic home network depending on options.
